Thanks All

A big thank you to everyone who came on the 2009 Coach, we had a really good group and everything went without an hitch (as always!).

We will be back again for 2010, so check back in the summer for more info on our coach services.

About Us

Hi and welcome to our website. We hope to give you an insight into us, the service we provide and all the information you may require.

norwich2reading was initially founded in the early summer of 2005 by three friends (Alex, Henry and Danny) who were sick of having to lug all our festival gear (and beer) on and off the expensive train and half way across London on the tube! Ever tried getting a large camping rucksack through the tube doors? Not fun as we found out!

Not everyone who goes to the festival lives close or is able to own a car, have parents who are willing to drive or a big enough car to fit all the camping gear in.

2005 was when it all started, we had the idea to hire a minibus and split the cost between everyone on it, which worked out quite reasonable...

Summer 2006 was when we decided to take it one step further with a small coach, more people sure was more fun! :)

In 2007 we ran again with the coach which was great fun and we sure have met some interesting people that year.

2008 & 2009 - have been awesome and it's great to see the regulars come back year after year.

Travel Info

the waterfrontPicked up early Thursday morning before the festival outside 'The Waterfront' on King Street, we head down towards London, round the M25 (with a single 30mins toilet/food stop), then onto reading festival aiming to arrive about mid morning.

the Rivermead CentreThe coach finally stops outside the Rivermead Center (about 20m from the Red Entrance)

After the festival the coach picks up at the Rivermead Center at midday to avoid the main exit rush between 9-11am. It then runs the reverse route ending up in Norwich late afternoon.

(Please note all journey times are dependant on traffic conditions)

FAQ

Who drives?
We sure don't! We have a fully insured Coach and professional Driver from our private hire firm to do our driving.

Are there any restrictions?
Yes, we will not be taking anybody under the age of 16 for legal reasons.

Do we get a Festival Ticket too?
Nooooo... our norwich2reading tickets are just for transport from Norwich to the festival site. They do not include anything except the travel.

How much luggage can I bring?
We don't recommend bringing anymore than you yourself can carry as you will have to walk to your campsite from the drop off point. Obviously please don't bring stupid amounts as we do have limited space.

Can I smoke on the Coach?
Nope, smoking is against the law on private hire vehicles. It's one of the few rules we have.
